The follower rewards control what commands, if any, are reward to users when they follow your channel for the first time.
To enable follower rewards you must toggle them on.
You can see if follower rewards are currently enabled by the overlay icons in the navigation menu and window title bar. When enabled the 
overlay icon is shown, e.g.
When disabled, the 
icon will be used instead.

The general tab of the follower reward screen controls what if anything is rewarded when you get a new follower.
When toggled on, only commands which are enabled of those that are configured will be rewarded.
The rewards to be distributed when a user follows you.
In the example above 1 use of the shoot command would be rewarded to the following user.

Notifications

The notification tab of the follower reward screen controls what if anything is sent to chat when you get a new follower.
When toggled on a notification will be output into chat of the reward granted for following.
Note: If toggle off, no notification will sent when a user follows but the reward will still be added.
The text used at the beginning of the message sent.
Variables
AccountName: The name of the account logged into InstructBot.
ApplicationName: InstructBot's name.
TriggeringUser: The user which followed, see here for a full list of variables.
The template used to generate a piece of text per user.
